I investigate the movement behaviour of migratory mammals, with a focus on bats.

Driven by a fascination with their extraordinary journeys, I employ cutting-edge experimental approaches to explore fundamental questions in movement ecology, sensory biology, and behaviour — questions that were beyond our reach just a few years ago. My research aims to identify the sensory organs essential for processing environmental information critical to orientation and long-distance navigation.
